Yummy breakfast idea: apple porridge

Today I wanted a variation for my breakfast, so I came up with the idea to try out my organic porridge, I had recently bought.

You’ll need:

  • cup of water
  • cup of milk
  • half cup of porridge
  • half of an apple
  • a bit of cinnamon
  • 3 biscuits

Firstly, mix one cup of water with one cup of milk and pour the mixture into a saucepan. Let the mixture simmer for around 5 minutes. When it’s all heated up, you can add half cup of porridge into the mixture and let it simmer for around 5 minutes. (Cooking time may vary. Therefore, check your package for instructions.)

Meanwhile, cut an apple into half and use one half for cutting bite-size pieces. Add the pieces into the hot mixture and let it simmer for around 5 minutes. Don’t forget to stir from time to time! If you like the taste of cinnamon, add a little bit of this spice.

Now, it’s time to prepare the topping by using three biscuits. I use two small cutting boards to make crumbs out of the biscuits. 😀

Once the porridge is all cooked, you can pour it into a bowl. Sprinkle some of the crumbs as topping and decorate the meal with some apple slices.

And voilà, yummy and tasty 🙂
