Yes, it’s time for the next colourful DIY idea: a paper heart wreath. You can do it very easily and if you like, it’s also a great idea to do with kids.
So, the supplies you’ll need:
- craft paper in different colours
- a ribbon
- craft knife
Step 1: Use a small plate/bowl on top of your cardboard and trace the outside with a pencil to draw an outer circle. Then, draw an inner circle.
Step 2: Afterwards, use your craft knife to cut out the center part of the circle and the outer part.
Step 3: Draw a shape of a heart on one piece of paper and cut it out. Now, use this as a template to create more hearts in the same shape. Cut them all out – better you cut out more, just in case you need some spare ones. 😉
Step 4: Now, start gluing the hearts in place on the cardboard by alternating colours and overlapping them.
Step 5: Wait for around 10 minutes until the glue has set.
Step 6: In the end, take your ribbon and cut it to the length you like. Then, glue it in place on the back of your wreath for hanging. Wait for another 10 minutes before hanging on your door or wall.
And voilà, a new decoration for your home is finished. 🙂
